Permanent Makeup Before & After-2
More and more women are taking advantage of permanent makeup.

Permanent Makeup, also known as Micropigmentation, is a form of cosmetic tattooing used to enhance facial features.
Permanent Makeup is revolutionizing the traditional world of cosmetics. It is not a fad but the cosmetic line of
the future! Imagine having perfectly designed eyebrows, gorgeously defined eyes and sensual looking lips lasting
not for a day but for several years. Today, tens of thousands of women (and yes, men too) have realized the benefits of
permanent, hassle-free, waterproof coloring of Micropigmentation.

Permanent Cosmetics allow busy people to look their best at all times, enhancing the beauty of those who desire
more than what Mother Nature gave them. Permanent Makeup even camouflages the scars from accidents, burns or
surgery by restoring the natural skin coloring ultimately improving ones self-image and self-esteem
Permanent Makeup Before & After
The great advantage of using Permanent Makeup is that all the color is not just on the skin, but actually in the dermis layer - no smudging, running, or getting into the eyes. It's also comforting to know the highest standard of sterilization is employed and only new disposable needles are used in this cosmetic tattoo process.

Some residual swelling is normal for all procedures. Some clients may have no swelling some may have alot...this is individualized. You can apply ice to the treated area if necessary. Dry skin, itching and tenderness are common after the procedure. These symptoms will dissipate each day and vary on an individual basis. Color will fade/soften up...a touch up will enhance any area that has faded too much. It is important to realize that you will need a color boost every 1-3 years to maintain it's fresh natural appearance. If you are out in the sun alot, use anti-aging creams, Retinol products, natural elements, regular chemical peels, or exercise frequently, you will probably need a color boost every 10mos. to 1yr. The better you take care of the treated area the longer it will last. Permanent Makeup can last 5-10 yrs depending on each individual and their lifestyles.
General Rules for ALL Procedures:
*Absolutely No Sun or tanning prior to the procedure or after the procedure for preferably 4-6 weeks.
*Avoid direct pressure from shower water on the treated area after the procedure.
*Do NOT take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E and/or Ibuprofen unless medically necessary, 48-72 hrs prior to your procedure. Tylenol is fine.
*You have to be off Accutane for 1 yr. NO Exceptions!
*Avoid alcohol or caffeine prior to the procedure this will minimize any oozing or swelling after the procedure.
*Alcohol causes thinning of the blood, which can keep your skin from accepting the pigment properly.
*Getting a procedure while on your menstrual cycle can make you hyper-sensitive at the procedure site.
*Avoid extreme exercise (sweating) directly after the procedure, at least 3-7 days..sweat is salt water and will fade the pigments prematurely....(salt is used in removal processes)
*No swimming until the area is completely healed, chlorine can cause the pigments to fade or change in color. It is recommended to apply the Aquaphor to the treated area/s prior to swimming even after healed to prevent the chlorine water/salt water from penetrating the area.
*Only touch the treated areas with squeaky clean hands. This is a must! You do not want an infection.
*DO NOT RUB, SCRATCH OR PICK AT THE TREATED AREA, let any scabbing naturally exfoliate off....picking can cause scarring, and lift the pigment from the treated area.
Use a 'sun block' after the procedure area has healed to prevent future fading of pigment color.
*If you are a blood donor, you may not give blood for 1 year following your PMU application. (per Red Cross)
*Clients need to follow all After-Care instructions for good results of their procedure(s).
*Plan on scheduling your touch-up within the first 2-3 months to perfect your procedure.

Eyebrows
-Come to your appointment with your eyebrows penciled the way you like them & bring your eyebrow pencil with you.
-If you get your eyebrows waxed or tinted, please have this done at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled procedure. It is recommended to wait at least a week to have them waxed after the procedure.
-Regular makeup can be worn immediately after your procedure, just not on the treated area until healed.
-The eyebrows WILL appear bolder immediately after the procedure..this is common in all Permanent Makeup applications...it will begin to soften up after a few days.
-It is very common to have areas fade more so than others..this is part of the healing process and will be treated at the recommended 6-8 week touch up appointment.
-Only use the A&D ointment (provided) or Vaseline on the treated area until healed. (thin coat)

Eyeliner
-If you have hyper-sensitive eyes, watery eyes, tear duct plugs or severe allergies..this may not be the procedure for you... our eyes produce saline-salt water and this will cause the area treated to fade or not take at all, or will more than likely definately need a touch up.
-Do not wear contact lenses to your appointment, bring your glasses.
-Come with your eyeliner on if you'd like to show me how you want it. Otherwise come with no eye makeup on.
No mascara.
-Clean contacts can be worn 24-48 hrs after the procedure
-No mascara for 72 hrs after the procedure, you can tip the lashes with the mascara, do not take it all the way to the skin until 7-10 days after the procedure.
-It is recommended to buy a new tube of mascara to use after the procedure to reduce the risk of infection.
-Clean your eyelash curler with alcohol prior to reusing it to also destroy any bacteria on it.
-DO NOT USE oily makeup remover, baby oil, mineral oil or heavy creams, especially glycolics around the eyes.
-Only use the aftercare A&D ointment (provided)  / Vaseline provided to you after the procedure for 3-7 days, or as needed, you cannot over use them.
-Do not scratch or rub your eyes. Use eyewash if eyes itch.
-It is recommended for the client to have someone drive them to and from their eyeliner procedure.

Lips
-If you are prone to cold sores or have frequent herpes breakouts around the mouth and lip area....it is recommended that you be on an Anti-Viral.. Valtrex or Acyclovir 2 days prior to your lip procedure...and continue until Rx is complete......if you get a break out due to not using the medication, it can spread to the entire treated area....causing alot of discomfort and the pigment will not take....those that have not had a cold sore or breakout, are still recommended to get a Rx to prevent one.
-If you have any active breakouts the procedure will need to be rescheduled. Try not to bite into greasy, oily or acidic foods while you are healing.
-Avoid hot, steamy drinks until healed. It is recommended to drink through a straw.
-Do not eat greasy, salty, oily or spicy foods until your lips are completely healed. (these can be sensitive to the lips)
-While eating, try  not to constantly wipe your lips with a napkin or keep licking your lips, this will impede the healing process.
-Lips will look very BOLD and BRIGHT the first few days and WILL begin to fade substantially...and may even look blotchy within the first few weeks, the color will begin to fully develop in 3-6 weeks.
-Lips can take up to 3 treatments to get the desired shade.
-Lips are a muscle and can take up to 2-3 sessions to complete the process of this procedure. Lips can be very unpredictable.
-Some clients will yield very strong healed lip color. Others will only heal with slight color uptake.
-I do not do lips if you have any permanent or dermal fillers (Silicone,Gortex, Restylane,Juvederm,Perlane,Radiesse).
-Do not bleach your teeth while your lips are healing.
-Keep lips well lubricated for at least 2 weeks post procedure. (Vaseline is a good choice.)

Camouflage and Areola Repigmentation Aftercare
-While the procedure area is healing, (1-4 days), cover or with a loose protective dressing. Do not wear tight bras or binding clothing, as the area will not heal properly. Uncover the procedure area while sleeping. It is best to keep the area uncovered as much as possible at all times for good results.
-If the procedure area is tender, apply an ointment with Lidocaine in it to relieve temporary discomfort.
-Do not use make-up on unhealed areas, it may create a dark effect.
